Lesson 13
Challenges for the end of 2025
Challenges for the end of 2025.
As the year ends and we gear up for what's next, let's flip the script on typical resolutions. Instead of vague promises, here are five creative challenges I set for myself in the days before the year ended. Ones that push boundaries, spark growth, and keep the fire alive. If you're looking to shake things up, join in on one or all. They're designed to build momentum without the pressure.
Post one "imperfect" piece a week. No more waiting for masterpiece status. Share the raw gen, the wonky hand, the experiment that almost worked. It's the vulnerability that pulls people in and sparks real conversations.
Collab with one new creator. Reach out to someone whose style sparks you. Co-prompt a dragon, swap LoRAs, build a shared world. The magic happens in the mix, and it grows your circle faster than solo grinding ever could.
Limit quality boosters to zero. Ditch "highly detailed, masterpiece, 8k" and force yourself to describe the soul instead. "Weathered face with stories in the wrinkles, quiet regret in the eyes." Your voice gets louder when the crutch is gone.
Track feelings, not likes. At the end of each week, note one piece that made you feel something strong. Proud, surprised, alive. Metrics matter, but the emotional wins compound more than any algorithm ever will.
Rest like it's part of the process. One day a week: no prompts, no screens, just walks, sketches, or nothing. Creativity needs empty space to refill. Burnout stole too many good ideas from me. Don't let it take yours.
These challenges aren't about perfection. They're about showing up, experimenting, and growing in ways that feel real.
